Re: Amazon is also pushing back delivery dates

@depglass I have totally had this going on with my packages.

Everything used to be 2 days for me.

Now it's whenever & I always look to see when things will be delivered. If it says 2 days,  & I say okay.

I buy it & then it says oh that will be here in 4 days. That toasts my buns!

Re: Amazon is also pushing back delivery dates

I live in Seattle and many of my orders are pushed out later than what I selected. I typically combine orders and rarely do I need anything in 2 days. So it is annoying as all get out when I order on say a Wednesday and select the fllowing Monday or Tuesday and they don't deliver on time. In a couple of cases I never rec'd the order at all. Had to call CS, get the refund, then reorder,

Re: Amazon is also pushing back delivery dates

I don't have Prime but have ordered from Amazon for years and orders usually arrive between 2-5 days. I've noticed recently that it's taking a few days longer. I don't order anything where it's an emergency to receive it quickly; I can get things locally for that. I have noticed that some of my Amazon packages arrive via USPS now.

no problems with deliveries from amazon, but ups and fed ex state on their website that there might be delays because of bad weather or unforseen circumstances.

I have friends that live Sault Ste. Marie and Brimley in the UP, and their Prime delivery times have consistently been 7-10 days.

I'm downstate in a more suburban area on the southwest side of the state and my Prime deliveries are consistently 1-3 days.

Have not had problems with deliveries from Amazon. Could be your area. 1-2 days is normal delivery time for me. Very happy with their shipping.

Re: Amazon is also pushing back delivery dates

Most of my deliveries come on time. I just got a new computer desk from Amazon and like much of their furniture, it was shipped from Arizona and was expected to arrive today but came a day early. It took almost a week (ordered on the fifth and delivered on the eleventh) to get here but going from Arizona to NJ is quite a trip. Smaller items tend to arrive sooner as they stock those items in multiple warehouses. Things like Kindles, Fire tablets, and Fire Sticks often arrive the same day you order them because they stock them in every warehouse.

They seem to stock most of the bigger furniture items in Arizona for some reason (lower humidity?) so they take longer to arrive.

Re: Amazon is also pushing back delivery dates

Even though the Amazon website says an order will arrive the next day or even in 2 days I noticed some orders aren't on time and I get an email informing me of the delay and these are orders not delivered by Amazon but by UPS.....Is the problem with the VENDOR and who they are using for shipping and does it have to do with the cost to them????  Or is it due to Amazon not being able to keepo up with the orders, refusing to hire more drivers so they are subcontracting shipments out to UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS???????  It makes me mad because I pay extra for Amazon Prime and I expect to receive what their website promises regarding their deliveries~~!!

@depglass:  I dropped Prime exactly for this reason.  I have a fulfillment center 20 miles away and I never got a package short of a week.  I still order occasionally, but usually order from somewhere else.  Once I dropped Prime I realized how much impulse ordering I was doing anyway.
