AMAZON help please

[ Edited ]

HELP!  My Amazon account was hacked.  Many items ordered.

This all started Saturday morning when I began receiving multiple emails regarding orders.  I knew then my account had been compromised and I called my credit card company.

After that I called Amazon CS.  Went through the whole spiel.  While talking with them, the hackers changed my email address and password.  I now have no account, no TV (we use Amazon Fire Stick), and my Kindle Unlimited cannot be used.

I was told it would be escalated to the "relevant" department and i should hear something about getting my account back within 24 to 48 hours. This morning,  it is past the 48 hours, and I called CS again.

After going through the entire debacle again.  I was told the exact same line...escalate to relevant department and 24 to 48 hours to hear.  I asked today's representative to speak with a supervisor.  I asked many times.  Many times I was told I could not be connected.  What the heck?

I called again and immediately asked for a supervisor.  This time I succeeded. Unfortunately, she gave me the same answers.

Do any of you have a CS number other than 888-280-4331, 866-216-1072, or 206-266-1000?  Any working email addresses?

Do you know how boring it is with no TV and no books to read?  Only able to stare at PapaWick for 3 days now 😅🤣😁😆

@MamaWick  I called 206-922-0880. I talked to CS and they were helpful. Maybe they can direct you to their IT department or fraud department. Good luck and hope for quick resolution.

@MamaWick - This is scary. I hope the number @elated @gave you can help. As many accounts as you have with them, an Amazon supervisor should take care of this immediately.

You will also have to change your email.

You've given us things to think about, I hope you get things straightened out.

I made a note of a different number a while back, no harm in trying  888 283 0577

I know this is heartbreaking and so frustrating, I had it last year with Pay Pal. Best of luck.

What a nightmare, your issue should be a priority for Amazon.

@MamaWick I had this happen to me a couple of years ago.  Someone changed my user name and password.  Fortunately nothing had been charged to my account and I was able to get it resolved pretty quickly.  I think it took a couple of days.  I would suggest that once you get this fixed to set up your account with 2 step verification.  I have done this with a lot of my accounts.

OMG that's terrifying!  Did Amazon block the other account so you can create new account and get back into everything?  What a mess.

A few months ago I got code text for my Amazon account that I did not request.  I logged out of everything and changed my password.  It was a PIA.

Your experience scares me again.

I'm sorry it's not an easy fix.

@MamaWick    This happened to my neighbor last week.   She received an email on her yahoo email account that she had orderedsomething from Amazon which she had not and instead of ignoring it she opened it and it must have triggeredsomething at Amazon and they kicked her out of her account.  She called Amazon CustomerService who referred her to an email address.   She did receive something from  Amazon but she had to submit her identification with her picture on it  as well as a photo of her .  She did after 24 hours have her account reinstated but it was a hassle

I'm so sorry.  I know it is maddening

so. Since yiu have AMAZON firestick you ant even watch TV.   That is a bummer
