Amazon has increased the total...

... price to get free shipping, if you don't have Prime. I never signed up for Prime because I don't use all of what's included in the membership and I didn't want to pay (not sure what it is now) as a monthly fee. I always found a way to make my order at least $25 to get free shipping but today, I noticed that it's gone up to $35. ☹️

That's still a pretty easy price to reach when shopping.

Prime membership is $14.99 per month or $179.88 per year. They have some good benefits if you use them all the time but otherwise, for me, it doesn't work.

:

Correction: If you pay yearly membership it is $139.00. The monthly fee is $40.00 more per year.

@AuntG yes, unless all your items are not sold and shipped by Amazon. I learned that when I was charged shipping once because one of the items came from a different vendor.

I see that, I dont have Prime, I dont order on amazon often enough to warrant it. I often dont find their prices to be low at all. for me it will be a challenge to spend 35 at once, often 25 was a challenge.

my kids, my mom, and i all share the cost of PRIME and that makes it worth it. if i was using it all by myself i probably would not pay the cost.

Its cheaper to pay the yearly membership fee of $139.00. 🙂

ETA - I get my groceries delivered by Amazon and the prices are cheaper than my local stores. Also, I prefer not to shop in stores for many reasons. It works for me. Plus all the other benefits.

Re: Amazon has increased the total...

The closest general department store near me is 25-40 min away, so we use Amazon prime delivery quite a bit. Also, I use the free yoga/  workout/ and videos, so it's still worth it!

Re: Amazon has increased the total...

Walmart has always been $35.  I have no problems spending that to get free curb side pick up or free shipping.  (NOT store delivery, that's different.

Wally did have a special for Wally+ for $49.98 for one year.  I did sign up.....so no minimums to hit.  Other perks like Paramount +, gas discounts etc.

I could get Free store delivery, however, there would be a tip involved.  Not that they don't deserve it, but if I am tipping every delivery...I have eaten up my savings.

I prolly won't continue after the intro year since there is a Wally less than 3 miles from me.

I do curbside mostly and it is free after $35.  If there is an item in my order that needs to be shipped, it is also free...and NO tipping needed.

Re: Amazon has increased the total...

With no Prime membership I am still getting free shipping for my orders of $25+. Same as it has always been, no change.
