excluding third party sellers, we generally get good to excellent customer service from amazon overall. we DO have  a warehouse pretty close by and we DO have prime. if we werent sharing our PRIME service with the family, i probably would not pay to have it.

i get things same day, overnight, next day, two days, etc.....

sometimes i take advantage of their service and put the delivery off a few days so i can get their digital rewards.

are there occasions when i dont get a package as anticipated? yes, absolutely. i do like that you can just easily go online and cancel it if it doesnt arrive by the date expected.

i recently had a box arrive that did not contain all the items it was supposed to. they gave me an immediate refund with no questions asked.

Re: Amazon Struggling

[ Edited ]

Around me, they put in a warehouse about three years ago. Most items came quickly.

Since efficiency issues caused more and more firings, many packages started being delayed.  Lately, USPS has been delivering Amazon packages.

Today, eight Amazon items were due to arrive. This a.m. two were moved ahead a day for delivery tomorrow. Three items did arrive today in an Amazon truck.  Now the other three items also state that they are arriving tomorrow.

My QVC items from this week all arrived early.

In the Northeast, I get same day Amazon deliveries, as well as overnight deliveries.  An airport 15 minutes away, built a large Amazon terminal about a year ago.

As @sunshine45 mentioned, if something isn't needed so soon, credits can be saved for future purchases, like kindle books.

I have NEVER had a problem with Amazon deliveries. I ordered 3 items on Wednesday and received 2 on Thursday, and the third was delivered today.

I've noticed most of my delayed deliveries are from third party sellers. I also avoid them whenever possible.

I also have no problems with Amazon deliveries.  Same day or 2 days is my time frame.  When we don't need the item ordered quickly we push it out to get the extra points.  i should also say in our area we have 2 or 3 warehouses within an hour or less.

I just got delayed with my latest Amazon delivery. I do not have Prime.

My stuff is here in town and was supposed to deliver today, but they can't deliver it until Monday for some reason. If I could go pick it up for them, I would. Hint, hint, Amazon.

I think the delivery people are backed up. It's that time of the year...

@deeva   I have found that many third parties are not listed as prime deliveries
