The Prime van is on our street several timess a day. I ordered three supplements yesterday (Sunday) and they arrived around noon today. They have been using drone delivery for a lot of things but we live too close to an airport  so can't get it here.

We have Prime and love it.  AND where we live they have been shipping some things by post office and we have NEVER had an issue.  Mostly it is in the Prime trucks which are all over here and come by every day.

We are lucky and have a huge warehouse in Oklahoma City.  I can't imagine being without it now.  The mail carrier orders from them too and gets Amazon gift cards from us because he is such a blessing on our route.

Sorry to bust your bubble of happiness, but, just when U get used to a certain person,  business, etc. They get replaced, retire, die, business closes down, etc.

Nothing stays the same and this old f*rt hates that.

@SharkE I hope you see this because I forgot to tell you that mail carriers have to bid on routes and our route in our city is the top one they want.  So the great carriers with the most years, best rating etc. get our route.  I personally think it is because I am so sweet and nice and we have a gigantic mail box.

I get a LOT of mail.  Woman Embarassed  So obviously it's just because I'm a wonderful person!  Woman EmbarassedWoman WinkWoman LOL  They retire after a year or two, the then the next best gets the route!  LOL!!!

Ordered a supplement on Tuesday, Checkout said would be delivered Thursday.  It was actually delivered late Saturday via USPS snail mail.

Those of you who order from Amazon lots may know they deliver by the Post Office.  This was a surprise to me.  Not sure why I pay for Amazon Prime when they don't deliver as they promise.  Could have ordered from a cheaper source if I had known they would deliver slowly with the Post Office.

@Seannie I think post Covid, Prime is 2-day shipping and most is done by the postal system.  Other items are now being delivered by UPS or their own trucks.  I think that their trucks and drones are becoming more and more a part of their business but for the time being they are using a lot of USPS.  There was a deal made with them in order to keep the USPS alive, Amazon would help them.  USPS was about to go broke begining c.2015.

Funny,we ordered something yesterday from Prime. Today (Sunday) on our way home the flag was down on our mailbox. Thought the wind blew it down. Later when we checked our order said it was in our mailbox. We have left instructions w/Prime to deliverer to our door. So round and round w/CS. And CS said those were the instructions about the door. We were not too happy.

@Group 5 minus 1 I don't think many of the USPS drivers take the time to read instructions and I am not sure the drivers for FedX can read proficiently.

Obviously you don't understand how Amazon and Amazon Prime work.   Everything on the Amazon platform is not eligible for Prime delivery.   It sounds like you ordered from a third party sellers that  and your item wasn't eligible for Prime.  I've been shopping from the very beginning, since the time when they only sold books.  But I still experience this if I'm not careful enough when I order.   It happened in February with my niece's birthday present.  Amazon customer service bailed me out.  They are the best!   They canceled the one that wouldn't arrive for a week and sent me one from the Amazon warehouse.  I got it the next day.  Late around 8pm but I got it.

@chrystaltree

This is absolutely correct.  Some things come from third-party sellers in other countries.  I have had under garments take months.

Be careful about how you discuss giving your postal carrier gifts.  That is against the federal guidelines.  I once gave gifts to my postal carrier at Christmas because he was so nice to bring them to the door and ring the bell while awaiting my arrival if he saw my car at home (to avoid them getting wet or perhaps disappearing).  I mentioned it to a neighbor who once was a government employee, and he got a severe reprimand.  I was sorry I had mentioned it to her.

Prime is the best thing since sliced bread.  Rarely has anything not been delivered on time.  My gripe with them is WHERE they place my pkgs.  The drivers have instructions to put them in a large plastic box (labeled PACKAGES) on the picnic table around back.  I've been having issues with the drivers following those instructions.  A few months ago, dealing with CS, I told them they could give me a $10 credit for each pkg delivered elsewhere.  They even take a picture and say it was delivered in the box on the picnic table when it's clearly at the front door.

If that had happened to me, I would have considered it a sign from God that I didn't need that fudge lol

I get 98% of my Amazon deliveries through the USPS. Very rarely does UPS deliver my order.

@Nonametoday There is a $20 limit.
