I never click on a link in an email or text. I will go directly to the website and see what's needed...and it's usually nothing. I investigated fraud for 20 years and am suspicious of everything.

I've received this scam email a few times. Never open it just delete. I call a older friend of mine when I get it because she's still not realizing these are scams. These scammers go after the elderly 😡 they've been victims twice now!

@RescueLover

A couple of years ago my mother got a scam call from "my grandson".  It wasn't him but it was his voice.  He was at the jail being processed and the woman who was also on the phone said he needed a couple of thousand dollars for bail money.  She was to bring the money (somewhere)  but explained she was in an assisted living and couldn't drive.  The lady scammer insisted she bring the money.  When she heard my grandson call her "grandma" instead of "granny", she knew it was a scam.

@monicakm

Thank Goodness your Mom wasn’t a victim!

I knew a lady that had the something similar happen when a lawyer called about her grandsons driving while intoxicated arrest and she needed to send money. She left the house and sent the money. Got back he called back saying she needed to send more.
Well after she got home the second time her husband asked her where she went and said while she was gone she missed talking to their grandson. 😳

That’s when she realized she was scammed. If only she had told her husband about the calls.

They will let you know if you need to update your CC when you try to order just like HSN & QVC do.
