My Amazon deliveries are regular as ever and come in different boxes/bags as they come from different warehouses.

You can have Amazon place your order at a local drop box location if you're worried about not being home to collect it. Those work pretty well. I've done it a few times. The stuff is put inside a secure locker and you're emailed the code for the locker. You wander in, enter your code and there's your stuff.

I'm pretty much surrounded by Amazon warehouses and stuff comes from different ones at different times. Anything big, like furniture, tends to come from an Arizona warehouse. I would guess they stock it there as it's closer to the California ports where stuff arrives from overseas. That stuff takes longer to get to NJ.

Amazon-branded stuff like their Fire tablets, Kindles, and the like, seem to be stocked at every warehouse and often come the same day if ordered before noon. Other stuff is here, there, or somewhere and you often get multiple boxes and deliveries because of that. They'll ship it from whichever warehouse has it and it gets there whenever it gets there.

Could they hold your order until stuff arrives from every warehouse and then put it all in one bigger box? Sure. But it would be slower and likely end up costing more.

I love how quickly most of my Amazon orders arrive. I have an Echo Show and Alexa lets me know when something is delivered so I don't have to keep going to check. The reason things may come at different times or dates is because many things are shipped from different states; since timely delivery is their big claim to fame, they just send it from wherever it is to get it to you asap.There are ususally several delivery options when you check out, from quickest to latest.

I'm paying for Prime which is 2 day delivery. Doesn't always happen. I don't want to choose a delivery date. Deliver it in 2 days like I paid for.
