Are you complaining because you are getting your packaged too soon????  Obviously you don't know how Amazon works.  They can't put things all in one box.  But YOU can select a delivery day and they will deliver all your separate packages on that one day.  They won't all be in one box.  My Amazon delivery day is Monday because I'm always home on Monday.

@chrystaltree As I stated originally I DO ASK FOR one day delivery WHEN I ORDER things, but I don't get one day delivery.  I understand not everything will be in one box, but everything SHOULD be on one day as the option says.

Re: Amazon Not Keeping to Schedule

Population of the U.S. is 331.9M.

Millions and millions and millions of people order from Amazon.  I try to live a pretty simple life.  I order multiple things and they magically show up on my doorstep due to the efforts of who knows how many people to get my orders to me.

No complaints from me.  I am thankful for the convenience and their efforts.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@Sooner

I agree, all the boxes get to be too much.

They need to do something about it just from the standpoint of cutting down on cardboard usage and waste alone, if nothing else.

I get multiple deliveries from them regularly and there will be a sea of large boxes each containing one or 2 small items and it makes me sick when I think about this multiplied by the vast numbers of people getting the same types of deliveries. That's a huge waste. ugh

Life long Prime member.  Always get everything very quickly.  Those in my local warehouse, I get the same day of ordering it. There is nothing like Amazon.  And to think it started out as a bookstore in the 1990's.

When I take advantage of a free prime trial or a $1.99 for the week I always have them combine the orders because I then get a digital credit for free kindle books that I can give to my daughter.

Re: Amazon Not Keeping to Schedule

Amazon is ships an astronomical number of packages and they aren’t perfect but they are pretty amazing. They certainly changed our expectations of delivery from other companies, small and large. It’s debatable whether that is fair.

Just my perspective, but it feels like now we are even critical with Amazon when they are a day early or a day late. At what point are our expectations unreasonable?

I'm not following the complaint here. Amazon states exactly when orders will be arriving. At least they do for me...

@bikerbabe When Amazon states you can get all packages one defined day and you check that box, it is in no way unreasonable to expect they will come that day.  They have computers.  They can do that.

@SaveTheTurtles. I didn't even know you could specify a delivery date.   I'm always home and they just show up.  We have a near-by big distribution center but we've never had same-day delivery.

Sorry, I must not have said that correctly.  I meant that I know exactly when my order will be arriving when I place my order as it states the date it will be arriving. You can also choose between prime and Amazon day which will deliver your packages in the fewest trips to your address if you are ordering multiple items at the same time.I hope that makes sense, sorry for the confusion.
