Just checked my order and now it says it will be delivered on August 22.  I placed my order on August 9th.  This is ridiculous.  My order was just for batteries (Amazon basic batteries) which I am not in any rush to get, but the other item was a toy for a neighbor's daughter which I need for this weekend.  Now I will need to go out and find another gift and return the item I ordered if I even receive it.  What a pain.  Now I know why I don't order from Amazon much.  Thought they were known for their fast delivery -- guess I was wrong.

If you don't have Prime and you are paying for this, they will refund shipping. I still would have called then and explain to them about the gift. Maybe they would send it out sooner as a curtesy.

@Sage04  I don't have Prime, and I never pay for shipping.  If it is sent out by Amazon or if the order is $35 and you pick the right shipping date you never pay for shipping.  No need for Prime for me, I rarely order from Amazon.  Now I know why.

I have been using Amazon for at least 20 years...and actually find them "Better than All the Rest" for overall shipping...

Re: Amazon Logistics?

[ Edited ]

@Biftu if you did order from Amazon more youd know this is definately not the norm.

When you placed your order, what was the expected date they said it would ship/receive by?

Some items Ive ordered did estimate within the two weeks range because uts coming from out of the country ( like my charger i chose) or the the 2 bras i ordered one  came 2 days, the other different brand took 9..  if i dont like the time frame, i dont order.its not always 2 days.

@LizzieInSRQ  I think the original expected date was August 12 then went to August 15 and now it's August 22.  These items were all shipped by Amazon and not from out of the country.  I especially don't get why the Amazon basic batteries would take two weeks.  Although I rarely order from them I never saw this message about Amazon Logistics.

Maybe, but certainly not in my case.  Two weeks to receive Amazon batteries is not acceptable.

@Biftu  I forgot that if you spend $35 you get free shippng but it should not take more that 5 days.

Would you be able the same gift for the girl at the Mall?

What is Amazon Logistics?  I have a package that was supposed to be delivered today.  Just checked on the delivery and this was the message:  "Unfortunately we have no tracking information for this delivery.  If you need information about delivery contact Amazon Logistics."

Though I rarely order from Amazon, I never saw this type of message and always received my package when it says it would be delivered.

Maybe call Amazon and ask.  If you can talk to a person and not a bot, they're helpful.

@Sage04  Who knows, but I sure don't feel like making the trip to a mall to find another gift.  That was the reason I searched from something on Amazon thinking it would arrive in plenty of time.
