Re: Amazon Customers - New Phishing Scam

@hckynut I don't think anyone is suggesting that Amazon is a bad place to shop. Rather that criminals have targeted Amazon shoppers by trying to steal their credit card information. I too like shopping with Amazon.

Sorry, I have no clue what you're responding to. The article was not any sort of opinion/research/study "whatever" in any way. It is a warning for a phishing scam.

You might want to read and understand what is written before sounding off on something that has nothing to do with what was posted.

Ok then,

Re: Amazon Customers - New Phishing Scam

Speaking of Things Amazon, I just ordered a Dot! It should be perfect for my limited use.

I didn't order the TSV though, I bought from Amazon - only because with the trials, for Amazon Music and Audible, they perpetually renew unless you remember to cancel. I wouldn't use them anyway. But I'm excited! I even have a BT speaker already I can use with it if I want to.

Yes, I'm a happy Prime member & Amazon fangirl.

Interesting - Amazon isn't getting black Dots back in stock until next Monday, so mine won't come until Wed-Thur.

Re: AmOazon Customers - New Phishing Scam

I got as far as the first paragraph and I didn't need to go any further.  I think anyone who gets email or has ever bought anything online would immediately recognize that scam.  Interestingly enough, I had situation with Evine recently.  I use two different credit cards with them.  I don't what happened but there was some credit card number issue, the Evine rep who called me did not specify, she just said there was an issue with my credit card number.  I asked her if she needed to verify the numbers and she said, no.  She said she could not accept credit card information and would not be able to get into my account anyway.    She told me to go into my Evine account and just re-enter my credit card numbers.  If I received an email asking me for my credit card number, I would have just deleted the email and called Evine to let them know.

The dot was only 39.99 on black Friday everywhere.  Q's price isn't really good.  Amazon is 49.99 but free shipping so with Q adding 5.00 for shipping you save 3 cents.

I wasn't in the market to buy it on Black Friday, so the fact that it was $10 cheaper on that day is kinda meaningless to me.  Nor do I care about 3 cents or $5 here and there. I don't generally believe in buying Amazon products anywhere but Amazon.
