Well, I don't think their delivery is anything to shout about.  I order three items Wednesday evening, all Prime eligible and I'm a Prime subscriber.  They won't be delivered until Monday.

When Amazon starts broadcasting from 3 TV channels 24/7 in addition to running warehouses, then I'll compare QVC to them.  In the meantime it's apples to oranges.

@Kachina624

The part of your post that I highlighted above is something I've been wondering about, whether Q may be getting rid of at least some of their warehouses.

The reason I was wondering is that most items I look at now have a disclaimer underneath the product description saying:

"Is this a gift? Product may arrive in manufacturer packaging and may display brand name and contents."

So much for 'Bill to/Ship to' if you want a gift to be a surprise, LOL!

But it sounds to me like Q is leaning more toward having most products shipped from the manufacturer, rather than their warehouses.

I'm sure they'd save a lot getting rid of some warehouses and the cost of repackaging the items in their QVC boxes.

Just wondering what you and others think about this.

@hoosieroriginal, @KingstonsMom  I find myself ordering more and more from amazon. I'm not prime either but I still get free s/h just for waiting a couple of more days for goods.  That doesn't bother me at all because sometimes it can really rack up. I'm still receiving items anywhere b/t 3-8 days - faster than here a lot of the time.

They recently built an enormous warehouse I'd say 20-30 miles away and are still looking for employees.

That's amazing OP~!   I have similar experiences (1-day to 2-days) with Walmart.com with whom Amazon is competing.

I no longer park 50 cars away from a Walmart which is a 30 mi. round trip, stroll to back of store with a wobbly-wheel cart, stand in line of 10 people, and carry 20 lb. boxes of cat litter to my hot car ... I place a "free ship >$35 order" (all but perishables), and simply open the box once it arrives on my front porch~!

@KingstonsMom  I think they put that disclaimer on the website because a number of people complained that their Christmas was ruined because a gift was delivered in a box that revealed the contents.  I noticed Amazon is saying items may be in a box that reveals the contents and to indicate if you want it in a plain box.

QVC recently opened a large distribution center somewhere in California.  I've had several things come from there.  I'm sure it saves time, money and personnel to have packages vendor shipped.
