Yesterday around 11:00 a.m. I ordered something on Amazon.  An hour later it said it had shipped and a Budget Rental truck just pulled up and delivered it!  Now that is service!  I do not have Prime either!  Less than 24 hours later!

I had a similar experience last week.  I ordered a gift to be sent to Chicago -- using Prime -- at 11:00 a.m. on 8/20.  It was supposed to be delivered on 8/22.  At 5:00 on 8/20 I had a message on my phone that it had been delivered!  I couldn't imagine that it was right so I called the recipient and -- sure enough -- it was there!  6 hours later!!  She lives in Chicago.

@hoosieroriginal  Wow, pretty soon all you will have to do is think about something and it will appear!  I'm not on prime either, but sometimes items come the next day.  I have to watch because these new delivery people are delivering on Sundays.  I've found things on my doorstep on Monday morning (I don't go in and out of my front door).  I currently have a small item that's supposed to arrive by tomorrow, but it still hasn't shipped.  I'd better be watching my door tonight!

Wow! That is great for a non-Prime member! (I'm not one either)

I've always been happy with Amazon's non-Prime shipping, but this was awesome service!

QVC better step it up!

First our orders here stay in process for at least 3-4 days, before it finally ships via the cheapest possible method available, which gives us the pleasure of watching the tracking take our purchases on a tour of the US, before they finally arrive....maybe.

Unless it gets 'lost' at one of the many stops it makes around the country, which has happened to me several times lately.

Enjoy your purchase from Amazon!Heart

@KingstonsMom - I could have ordered it from the Q, but knew it would take me at least 2 weeks to receive.  I wasn't willing to wait that long.  I was cooking my dogs' food yesterday in my Big Boss Halogen Convection Oven which I have used for that purpose over 7 years and it finally went kaput (drains all the fat off of their food).  I saw one on the Q, but didn't want to wait for it.  Found another brand for half the price on Amazon (highly rated) and got it today.  Glad I chose Amazon.  Now I can finish cooking up their chicken for the week!  Oh, PLUS I GOT FREE SHIPPING!!  Whoo hoooo!

Well, I don't think their delivery is anything to shout about.  I order three items Wednesday evening, all Prime eligible and I'm a Prime subscriber.  They won't be delivered until Monday.

When Amazon starts broadcasting from 3 TV channels 24/7 in addition to running warehouses, then I'll compare QVC to them.  In the meantime it's apples to oranges.

Ooh! I cook for my Kingston too, can you just give me the name of the one you bought, pretty please?!

No link, it'll be deleted, just the name would work, so I can look it up.

TIA!

@KingstonsMom - It is the Rosewill Halogen Convection Oven R-HCO-15001.  I love it because I don't have to worry about the fat content - it simply drains it all away.  My Big Boss I loved - could put about 12 hamburgers or about 8 pieces of chicken in at a time - cook, then freeze them.  This is about the same size.  Good luck.

@KingstonsMom - By the way - I take two long pieces of aluminum foil and line the bottom, then put the rack in on top of that (oh, this one also comes with the extender ring which I use so the heat isn't directly on top of meat and it doesn't burn).  After cooking, I simply wait for the fat to set a couple hours, fold up the aluminum foil and toss in my trash - it's really easy to clean then.
