Re: Amarillo nightmare starting Friday

It's passing over us right now. Electricity went out and the generator kicked on. I love that machine!  Power was only out for a few minutes though, along with internet and tv. Everything is already back on and the wind seems to be letting up. Hoping the worst of it is over.

@SharkE  Wow SharkE- you've been through a lot over the past few days with this storm! I'm glad that you're ok- that must've been very stressful and exhausting to go through.  I'm glad that you got to eat hot food again and you were able to get a car charger. I don't think I could've lasted 2 days without QVC or power! Stay warm and stay safe- I hope and pray that these storms subside soon for you and everyone effected by them. 💗🙏

The winds were horrible all across the panhandle. It was amazing how it was flipping semi trucks over etc. I lived in White Deer TX for years which is just 44 miles from Amarillo. It was really horrific driving conditions.

Re: Amarillo nightmare starting Friday

@SharkE SO sorry to hear you've had issues!  I hope all is ok now. Anyone facing that has my prayers.

We had those winds too--around here it was wildfires and downed power lines.  A number of homes burned in Stillwater, Norman, and other places, and out west, and even a couple of houses inside Oklahoma City.

It was awful.  And more fire danger days coming up so be safe and be ready to evacuate if you live in an area that will get this.

Stay safe and go forth and shop!  Woman Wink

We installed a Generac standby generator after Sandy.  Best investment we ever made.

@SharkE.  Why did you post this thread if you had no intention of reading or  participating in it?

Sixteen people took time to send their best wishes to you, expressing concern, yet you never acknowledged a single one, although you've been back to discuss handbags. Incredibly rude.
