I just read that the Italian court overturned the conviction.

I wonder what really did happen. It's hard for the parents of the victim never knowing what happened and who actually killed their daughter.

Apple - there is a guy sitting in an Italian prison for committing another crime...he admitted to killing the roommate.

I think the bar owner (or bartender) they originally had in jail for the murder did it. Lots of evidence.

If the court upholds their last decision her ex-boyfriend will be taken to jail immediately. I've read he visited Amanda last year and wanted her to marry him so he could stay in the US. Since then he has changed his testimony about whether or not she was with him all night.

I doubt she'll ever be back in an Italian prison but she will also never be able to leave the US again.

That would be no problem for me. If I were her there is no way I would be even wanting to leave the U.S. again.
