@KingstonsMom The claims filed under the incentive during the early pandemic were done under exceptional circumstances. We had problems in NM too, but the people who dutiful filed every week as instructed did eventually get their payment in a lump sum. This is not the norm.

I honestly don't know if her filing was during this 'incentive' period or not, all I can attest to is that every week I drove her around to apply for jobs to help her find the places and she provided that info with signatures.
I can say that everyone's personal experience with these things can be totally different than someone else's.
Have you ever applied for unemployment, much less during a pandemic or are you just stating how it's supposed to work, which isn't necessarily how it does work for everyone?
My last word on this subject.....not in the mood to debate my personal experience.
Have a great night!

@willomenia You are so rude! To ask someone "Are you nuts"? At least she's not nasty.

I'm just waiting for the tar and feathers to come out....SMDH.
Like no one else here has ever made a post that wasn't worded correctly and may be misinterpreted?
The OP apologized and tried to state their intention with the thread, what else can they do?
Must be great to have never made a mistake or misspoke........

I saw your more recent reply later on in this thread, but have to say that your opening post does sound condescending to fellow posters.
As if shame on them/us-- for not starting a thread about what we can do for the employees involved at that warehouse.
But, instead of you starting a thread with that intent, (e.g. What can we do?), you decided to start this one.
The mention of swizzle sticks didn't help. Made it sound worse.
@Lucky Charm Your interpretation only.
I see no intent to shame anyone.
Just because @depglass didn't word her post the way YOU would have does not make her wrong.
Opinions such as yours are yours alone.
Just as mine is mine.
Only I choose not to bash the OP.

@KingstonsMom Too right. I know I've put my foot in it a time or two and never got the lambasting like I've seen here today. Shameful.

@Qcloudy, 12 days. They are all heart aren't they?
@tiny 2 Corporation pay a hefty tax on employee wages through the Federal Unemployment Tax Act (FUTA) so they'll have unemployment insurance to help with expenses when they lose jobs through no fault of their own. It's not like they're not contributing. Most retail businesses do not have bottomless pockets.
@Kachina624, I know Kachina. I am just upset about it. There have been complaints from workers in that facility for several years about the extreme heat in that building. They say they have to work with no air conditioning in summer. We have 95-100% humidity in the summer months and it is brutal but there have also been complaints about excessive heat in portions of the warehouse in winter also.
The missing young man was found dead in the building.

I wouldn't consider my post bashing. At all.

OH NO!
How sad! I was so hoping maybe he got disoriented with heat, fire, smoke, trauma and would be found alive somewhere soon!
My deepest sympathies go out to his friends and loved ones.
