Am I the only 'scaredy cat' with spiders?

I hate all bugs to be honest, especially those that want to crawl on you!

So at 4 AM this morning, I go in the kitchen for my coffee and there he was.....lying in wait.....a spider the size of a 50 cent piece, right in front of my coffee, but on the floor.

Of course I freaked out completely and couldn't find the fly swatter, but I wasn't about to step on him, then he might crawl up my leg!

So I grabbed a can of bug spray and soaked the kitchen floor with it!

Gotta wake DH up now that it's almost 5 AM and warn him about all of the bug spray on the kitchen floor, so he doesn't slip and fall!

And so he can pick it up....I ain't pickin' up that man (woman) eatin' sucker!

ETA: I immediately took my BP pill, LOL!

Most bugs are innocuous....I pick them up and place them outside so they can find a new home.

I don't like any bugs in the house and immediately deal with them. I went into the bathroom this morning and there was a GIANT fast moving ant. Sometimes I catch and release but not always possible.

Spiders freak me out too! I have my husband stomp them if he's home. I'm not a catch and release on them! Now, others like stink bugs I'll catch them in a paper towel and release outside. Centipede's just worse than a spider, I stomp them.

@KingstonMom .....................I have a tremendous fear of spiders! I do not like any creepy crawly things, but I fear spiders the most. You are not alone.

@ID2 YES!!! Kitty and I had a two-day battle with one. Finally got it while it was sitting in the middle of my dining room table...taunting me with those two rows of eyes.

Whacked it with a broom (and put a huge dent in the hardwood table, too).

Ugh...hope I NEVER see another one...

I think spiders are kinda cool......the beautiful web art they create. The fact that they catch flies also makes me a fan. I abhor flies......filthy creatures.
