So am I the only one who means what I say? I feel your word is your bond. It annoys me when people say I'll call you or get back to you and they don't. Case in point I have Time Warner Cable and had someone to my house back in June. He tells me if I have trouble again give him a call (he gave me his card with his cell number, I didn't ask for it). So I'm having the same trouble again and called him on Friday. He said he would come Wednesday between 9:00-10:00 am and call back later Friday to confirm, he never did. I try reaching him yesterday, his phone is full and not receiving anymore messages. Now it is 11:00, and he never showed. I should say he is high up at TWC and told me he would let them know about the problem but TWC customer service has no record of it.

That's TWC for you.  I say what I mean, and I stand by it!

@Jordan2----Most of the techs flit from 1 place to another.   He probably went to another employer, before the day was over.----tedEbear

I have been battling with Comcast for the past three months over an erroneous $20 charge which they assure me will be cleared up each month and yet again there it is . . . cable companies are the absolute worst.

Jordan2, that's not surprising at all. TWC has the worst customer service. we

couldn't believe how horrible they were when we tried them once. they installed one day, and we had it all disconnected the next. it was that bad.

Sorry about your frustration.

He's a 'high up' at TWC and installing cable?

I had a serious medical issue recently that I had a supposed "case worker" from Cigna handling. I was transferred numerous times to all different case workers to try and get me rehab. I was told countless times to wait by the phone at a certain day and hour and not one of them ever resolved the issue or called me back. I was very surprised at the level of ineptness I found during this entire ordeal.

People often seem to have no conscience when it comes to following through.

@Lucky Charm he's not a regular tech guy, they seem to get him involved when the other tech guy can't solve the problem. He actually called me at 11:30 but with no apologies.

I mean what I say, and I say what I mean.

One annoying thing is to be asked 'what do you mean by that?'.   Uhhhh, were you not listening?  I meant exactly what I said.

I try to be careful in articulating and it always seem to be people who are always on the defensive who will assume that you must mean something ELSE.

Don't even get me started on the 'saying you'll do something and then not doing it' part of the question!   I hate that.  If you're not even going to do it, then don't tell me  you are and we'll be way better off.  If you say you'll be here at 9:00, then I expect you, outside of an (actual) emergency, to be here at 9:00.    If you expected me at 9:00 you better darned well know that I will be there BY 9:00.   Being true to one's word is important - to me, anyway.  Smiley Happy
