It's just a theory of mine but I'm convinced that the reason everyone is so onery, confrontational, etc. these days is because everyone is so constipated from eating so much ....(insert your word) cheese.
Buy a hamburger....you get asked "You want cheese on that"? Buy anything....you get asked...."You want cheese on that?"
I've been watching Jan shred cheese since last night....Who eats that much cheese??
@Annabellethecat66 I hate when they ask me if I want cheese on my hamburger when I tell them I want a small hamburger with mayo only. If I wanted cheese on it I would have ordered a cheeseburger with mayo only. They also don't know what mayo only means.
@Nightowlz. With me it's the more I say no mayo, the more mayo they give me, I'm tired of scraping it off, LOL.
@QVCkitty1 I know what you mean there. I guess since I only want mayo they think I need the whole jar. I use very little. Just so the burger is not dry. LOL!!!

If you wait you will probably be waiting for years. This one has the full 7 yr warrany. I thought all the others have had a 5 yr warranty but not sure.
I use mine for smoothies, bread crumbs, peanut butter plus other butters mostly. I don't think I could make any of the butters with my Oster Beehive blender.
My 5200 had a 7 year warranty, I did not buy it from QVC.
@jaxs mom As far as I know all the models have a 7 yr warranty on them except the Creations model that has 5 yr warranty from what I understand.

Sometimes I feel that I'm the only one in this country that DOESN'T own a Vitamix....and it doesn't bother me one bit. First of all, I have no room on my counter for the thing. I have a small kitchen and my blender is in the cabinet. Second, my 40+ year old Oster that I received as a bridal shower gift can do most of what the Vitamix can do. I do realize that it can't do everything, but I did say MOST. Thirdly, it does't make enough hot soup for the 3 people who live in this household, so why bother with that? And to add, for the price of that thing, it has to do a lot more than grind, whip, crush, mix, etc. It had better do the shopping and cleaning also!!! I know, I know, we have to justify that it is made in the US. So when my Oster decides to bite the dust, I will be shopping around, but it won't be for a Vitamix. Right now, it will probably be for a Ninja blender.

No, I never give a single thought to what's coming down the line. There is always bigger, better, more powerful but the one I'm buying or own servers my needs. I don't need be better. As for Vitamix machines specifically, I don't own one. If I had one I'd probably never use it. The appliances I already own are enough for me.

@QVCkitty1 With me I say (on a fish sandwich) little tartar sauce.....they hear.....'just pile that stuff up...use half the jar'! Ha! It makes the bread soggy and oozes out like crazy! (look how I spelled oozes!

To be honest, all Vitamix models are in a class by themselves, IMHO. What makes this one special are the preprogrammed elements, something QVC hasn't offered before. (WS has and just for fun check their price!) The best advise I can give is to go to all websites of establishments that carry the Vitamix and find the model that best describes your needs. (ie; under the counter model, etc.) Then go to QVC and see if they, too, offer the one you like because they, most likely, will have the best price. Rest assured Vitamix is the "Viking-Wolf-Jenn-Air" of blenders and worth every penny. Not to mention their guarantee is amazing! (But to your point about latest and greatest, I feel your pain! In a word DYSON!!!

This is why my dh leases cars! He can stand not having the next, latest, greatest gadget! My advice is this... Is yours still doing everything you need it to? Does the new one do something yours doesn't? If it does, how badly do you need it to do that? Finally, do you have the cash to pay for it in full? I hate it when companies do that! They change the color of the on switch and tell us it's all new and we must have it! Sad to say, I've fallen for that too many times! If I hadn't, I'd own a summer home on the ocean now!😬
