@gloriajean  I am pleased you are enjoying it. As busy as you are with the babies, I am sure it saves a lot of steps for you

It sure helps with babysitting them.  They love the children's songs, and The Doggie in the Window!  It helps alot as I wouldn't know on a radio to find these stations.  No commercials either!   When crabby, some music calms them down.  When the music to a song starts, they already know what the song is and say some words to it.

I'll bet they can use it too. They are such sweet and bright little girls

Her jokes are lame but she’s handy for quick facts and timers.  She controls a couple of lamps in my house.

also I might add when DH and I are watching movies I ask Alexa how old so and so is. Instant answers but very rarely doesn’t have an answer.

OMG @OKPrincess

I'm always asking how old someone is now, too!  I love her music playlists, too, we had great Celtic music and songs on St. Patrick's Day.

I'm also always asking what time or date it is when I'm in the living room.  DH uses a lot of reminders.

I will have to google because I have no ideal what an Alexa is.  I thought this was going to be about Billy Joel and Christy Brinkley's daughter.  I am so out of the loop on gadgets and such.

Lol!! Took me by surprise too, as I would've expected this Alexa to be posted in the electronics forum.

I DO know what this Alexa is, as 'she' is installed on my tablet. I know she comes in other forms as well. However, its appeal is lost on me. I've never activated it.

It interests me to read what people use Alexa for.

FYI

Alexa will also read audio books to you, I haven't used that one yet.

I get an email every week from Amazon on things I can ask Alexa to do, including jokes, singing a song, etc.

I have Alexa read to me occasionally but her voice isn’t the best, @Noel7.

I have an Alexa & 2 Dots. DH uses 1 dot at work. I use Alexa to play music while I walk & exercise, ask her the weather etc. There's a lot of questions we have asked her that she cannot answer.

I believe someone/they are listening all the time or at least when they want to listen. I also believe you have Wi-Fi in your house with your TV plus other electronics. Oh yes they are listening.
