@patbz    Yikes, it feels like the monsoon is here the past few days.  Sticky and humid.  We actually had a brief, light shower yesterday evening with a few rumbles of thunder.  I wish it would go away.

@Kachina624  ..... Thank you for asking. I was wondering the same thing. Being in Ohio when I hear Columbus my first thought is our capital. And, yes, I know there is a Columbus, Georgia. Been there several times.

Yep. Once temps hit about 79 or so, on goes the AC setting. May has been very mild in TN though, so I've had the windows open for the fresh air a lot more than I normally would this time of year.

Yes!  We have been warming up here (Southeast) for a while now.  AC on for a couple of weeks.

Yes, we have had many warm days, so it goes on, and stays on until late fall.

This time of year brings a bit of angst for me....our house was built in the 70's and air conditioning was not always included in the build...and our house has no central air.

Since we are on a slab and no vents in the house putting in central air would be expensive.  Good thing we both enjoy having the windows open...most of the time.

We have a unit in the wall that does an ok job, we turn it on  when it's really humid or really hot.  Upstairs there is a unit in the bedroom as well.  Sometimes getting dressed or blowing my hair dry is a struggle.

Oh, yes. Maybe a month and a half ago or so. It hasn't been horrible here yet, but it is so humid, it just adds to the heat. Makes it hard to breathe some days.

I am so thankful for air conditioning.

Is it not humid where you live @Dinaki? If its not you are so lucky. The humidity just sucks the life out of me.

I'm in eastern Pa. and we've had a few hot days but I haven't turned on the air as of yet. It has to get really hot and humid for several days in a row before I turn it on. Now it's to be cool here the next few days. Low of 41 tonight.

@Mom2Dogs my house in Athens doent have also a central unit, it is awafull expensive to have one.

I do have though two pieces  like the one in the photographe, one for the bedroom and the other for the sitting room.

They are General Electric each 14 BTUUnknown.jpeg
