interesting to see people supposedly lining up with the actions of  those Murdoch boys.  strange bedfellows. nobody really knows  what is going on.  we'll see who was blowing smoke -  and who actually knew what was going on.  there seem to be more than a few axes to grind, lol!

@ms traditional   What people do you mean are "lining up" with the actions of those Murdoch boys.  I'm not at all sure to whom you are referring.

@Pearlee  i was thinking of people like Gabriel Sherman, no fan of family Murdoch, who might feel friendlier if they force Ailes out.

Mr. Ailes will earn $40million for his behavior.

It's a win for him.

@Ms X- I didn't say she had no case.  I don't know if she does or not as I don't know the facts only her allegations and a lawyer will always take a case re sexual harassment, especially high profile personalities because they must; she is entitled to her day in court and he is entitled to be defended ...... Anyone can sue but everyone doesn't get damages.    They are finding collaborating witnesses and interviewing them and going forth with charges as far as I know....so they (her lawyers) believe an infraction has taken place but the judge or arbitrator may not feel the same way...may exclude old complaints, look at possible motives on her part and question the length of time between the event and reporting....you never know how the decisions go until the case is heard.

@Pearlee- I read somewhere during the controversy that she felt more valued and forgot the figure but I am sorry I can't remember the source or if a valid source.....

@momtochloe- I know I saw some pretty outlandish complaints against women.  I think many high performing women feel a certain entitlement because of gender and that harassment was only pertinent to men as being the offender .....but, the law protects everyone and the women were shocked that their behavior was inappropriate and that they were reported.  There is a certain competition that exists between women but more about attractiveness, age, clothes, demeanor of another women....for men, there is competition but different.

@Stray I wish there was someone like you at the company when I was there as I would have glady reached out for help.  Everyone was just terrified of her at all levels within the company.

You certainly didn't have any easy job and bless you for helping the people I know you were able to assist!

@momtochloe- I worked for a very good Company but not a rarity ....most respectable large companies have a process and it is the law.  We had an excellent team that consisted of two attorneys and other HR specialists.  no person should have to work terrified and with so many witnesses, she probably should have been terminated.  It's a nice feeling when a fair resolution is reached in a valid case.  It is hard to report, uncomfortable and many tears but months later when you see the person smiling and relieved during follow up its all good.  The job was a tough one but often very gratifying.   I am sorry you all endured this and I hope the situation no longer exists

It's astonishing to me how many women go to such lengths to support a man who has been accused of such conduct.

Bill Cosby and now Roger Ailes.

Each victim has their own reason(s) for not reporting the behavior and we (as women) shouldn't demonize them.   Some women have been subjected to this type of behavior for a long while and accept it as, "men, as usual."  It's not okay.

In all cases, tell someone, file charges, let an arrest be made and go to court.

I agree. I think some women do not want to face what they have allowed happen to themselves so they cast doubt on those who are brave enough to come forward.

I unfortunately had to get a restraining order against my 2nd exhusband. He was a decorated Police detective. Popular in the community and so on. He was being shielded by his department until he attempted to strangle me  at my parents home in a bizarre attempt to kidnap me. I had already left him after having gone through a DMV trial with his first wife. That was not going well for him. I had no idea about any of this.  (Again no clue about this until after we married.)  We lived in another town in NJ where he was working. So now that another Police Dept was involved he could not hide. Although he and his parents continued to harass my DD and I because we were going forward with the DMV.. I ended up having to testify against him in a grand jury investigation because my pressing charges was the catalyst to his dept being swept for illegal guns and other things. It was a nightmare and I ended up getting my restraining order and having to move away with my DD. But I would do it again to keep him from hurting us.

So when I see women judging other women or flat out calling their claims false it just disgust me.

@AngusandBuddhasMom

I am so glad you and DD came out of this and are safe  now.    The memory remains but this is behind you now.    hugs to you

@Tinkrbl44 thank you for your kind words they are much appreciated.Woman Happy

This story becomes even more intriguing as the major "stars" supposedly are siding with Roger Ailes and willing to walk.  This leaves Megyn Kelly with Fox.  Time will tell.
