Finally after all these years, I got to see Aerosmith live in Tacoma last night. What an amazing show they put on! They played some very early blues stuff, old hits, more recent hits, and brand new hits. All of the musicians were featured in solos as well. Steven Tyler was at his best in showmanship and voice. He hit every one of those Tyleresque high notes with ease. One of their encore songs was Dream On, which he ended standing high up on top of a Baby Grand that was sitting at the end of an elevated ramp in the middle of the audience. These guys are world class musicians, especially Joe Perry. Steven played piano, drums, and harmonica in addition to vocals. He looked energized, happy, totally in his element and played the audience like an instrument. I can now check this off on my bucket list. WOO HOO! I'd love to hear if anyone else has seen them this summer and what you thought.
