I must be certifiably crazy! My daughter and I went shopping last evening at Petsmart. They usually have kitties available for adoption from a local shelter. We caught sight of a little male kitten, black with white chest and paws. There was just something about him! We shop there all the time, and have never considered adopting before. I have 5 cats and 1 dog, so I sure don't feel I need more. We lost our dear Daisy Jane to kidney failure last month.

Long story short, we decided to adopt him. They told us his sister had been adopted the day before. He is about 8 weeks old, and very tiny. I really didn't want a kitten again, that's for sure. He had sort of a rough night, with vomiting and diarrhea a few times. He did settle down, and was able to eat and drink some. He had all his health checks and shots via the shelter. I am hoping it is just stress, but will take him to the vet if it continues. He has also had deworming medicine.

We are isolating him away from the other kitties and dog for awhile. My daughter is the one who talked me into this, and I told her she is responsible for his care!! So, he is confiined to her bathroom/bedroom.

I was shocked to learn he has already been neutered! He's just a baby. I am nuts!!
