Re: Adolphe Sax's 201st Birthday

@sweetbay magnolia       I am sorry for the time delay but wanted you to know that Woods began his European stay with a month's stay at one (JAZZ) club- late 60s and some in the very early 70s, at Ronnie Scott's Club in London, then decided to settle permanently on the continent with his wife and children. He very soon made their home in France. He loved to participate in two workshops in Germany...alway booked solid through all of the 70s.

Re: Adolphe Sax's 201st Birthday

@sweetbay magnolia, What I can do is make another thread and give you more on different records, wookshops, et cetra.

Unfortunately, I cannot am allowed (??) to give more info.

BUT! I understand. They  > (these people, HERE, know ZERO about what I know and whom 'we' knew. OR JAZZ greats!

Hope you have a great evening.

Sad that anything this great can't be told since you know of him so well and he was your BEST ALTO.

THIS IS WHY HE MOVED TO PARIS AND STAYED THERE. IN THE 70s and most of his life.

Country Hee Haw stuff is what we know. Europe loves our Jazz.

That is why we just do not have the artists, here. Back with you later.

                          I will answer questions.

@NAES1, lovely to talk with you.  Kindred spirits.  Inspiration is the driving force of life and you have given me some.  Interesting notes about "the life".  This has touched a nerve in me that resonates beyond my little realm.  Beauty, eloquence, grace. passion - amazing how these things can be found in the simplest of things, but when colored with meaning, become richer and more complex.

Which translates to music.  Thank you for your offer to respond to question.  I hope you have a transcendent day.

@sweetbay magnolia Woman Happy

~ You are more than welcomed~

I have been away for a few days, from here....too much controversy from  the "M" overseers: as I mentioned a personal life that is known to us, then someone ranks _ asking ME of any authentication, then I am out of my element. This was entirely a personal reply from me.

__->This person knows nothing of our private lives, or whom we know....

Also, I will print more, but definitely on another thread.

I do not tolerate simple views of the reader, over my shoulder, NOT any posters, though. They have been very kind; some do know a little of music, but not to this degree.

[THEY]...paid .... 'M' employees know very little of what I speak.

It was delightful to take that time to tell you of one fantastic artist.

It is not an every day experience that I post anything this personal. You are a GEM among very few, ` who appreciate and know of quality; once in a life time experience`

All of my best. Any time -when I notice, as I have just pulled up. via...notifications.
