Bowls are my treasures...all sizes, but especially the smaller ones.  Some have lids, some don't - some are functional, some just pretty.  I just can't stop collecting bowls that I do not need.  I know it is weird and I can't explain it because I do not even like to cook and rarely eat/serve leftovers.  Why do I want/need so many bowls?????

@alicedee

I so relate.  I am a stockpiler of nearly all household supplies.  I buy nearly a year's worth of toilet paper and paper towels in January.  There are often great sales on paper products in January and sometimes I even get cash back bonues and I am always looking for ways to save money on necessaities.  You should see the looks I get hauling it out...I often wish I could hear the thoughts in peoples heads.

My addictions come and go but at one time or another I've accumulated too many handbags, shoes, watches and even bromeliads, a tropical plant.  I think some people have addictive personalities.

Books, stacks of books, books in bookshelves. New books, secondhand books, fiction, nonfiction, biography, gardening, self-help. As long as I have books to read, I can't die.

shoes.  it's embarrassing. when i was a child, i rarely got new shoes, ... always hand me downs.  i thoroughly enjoy my shoes today.  they are my secret treasure.  but i REALLY have too many Smiley Happy     i think i have 11 pairs of sandals and about the same number of closed toe, sneaker/loafer type.   and then a couple of pair of dressy shoes.  i know to some of you, this may not sound like a lot, but to me it seems like a lot, or at least it is way more than i actually need lol.

also ... pens and paper/notebooks.  have always had a thing about pens, but recently fell down a planner rabbithole, and now i am obsessed.  but again, they are my secret treasure.  i did give my dd a couple of fountain pens last week.   i count that as  a de-stash.  LOL.

You own 12 vacuums and it just hit you that you have an addiction?

This is humiliating for me to admit.  Obviously, I am in the process of recovery.  Years ago, craft supplies and household decor.  Then onto clothing, handbags, and JEWELRY.  And books, of course.  No more.  I am so done.  All types of jewelry, which I am culling for my DD and DIL.  DH has given me a new diamond set, tanzanite set, ruby set for anniversaries.  He has an emerald set ready for my BD in August.  My DD, DIL, GD will inherit those.  DH is indulgent.

We are going through our house and donating or giving away so much stuff!

I was just reading about sharke’s addiction to jackets and realizing that I have an addiction to purchasing vacuum cleaners. I have 12 of them. Some corded and some cordless.

Does anyone else have a purchasing addiction?

Ha ha, had the same number of vacs but gave 3 of them away. Now down to 1 corded and 8 cordless. Have one in practically every room since I'm too lazy drag one out of the closet. I do vacuum alot more but have extra tools up the wazoo.
