? About Mr. Rebates

Good morning, all. I had an email from Mr. Rebates. I have some credit that I guess goes into PayPal???? Never had this before. Now, if I purchase something online using PayPal, will the amount from Mr. Rebates just be deducted from the purchase price? I logged into Pay Pal, and they have the amount, but it sounded like I had to claim it and have it sent to me????? Could someone, please, splain this to me (I Love Lucy Marathon reference,,,sorry).TIA
