I just read that Tom Brady has cancelled his visit to the WH. He was Aaron's mentor.

As a life long Pats fan I would bet my house on the fact that Tom cancelling the WH visit has NOTHING to do with Hernandez.  According to local reports, Tom's mom, who is battling cancer, is in Boston.

Sorry, I disagree.

Lots of people "grew up hard and rough" and are able to "rise above the way you were raised" and didn't turn into murderers with no conscience.

I do not believe this was a suicide at all. He was discovered dead at 3:00 am in his cell. He was overjoyed last week when found innocent on two murders counts, I think one or more persons were not so happy about it. You can  try to make a murder appear to be a suicide but it will be shown in an autopsy. It will show wheter he was dead before being hanged. I am not a fan of his but this does not sound right to me.

@wakefield64.  3 am is prime time for prison hang-ups. Single cell doors are not cracked at night without a team of people being there. That would be quite a conspiracy. Cameras will tell the story.

@KingstonsMom It's okay to disagree.  I don't know if I agree that lots of people who grew up hard and rough found a way to to rise above.  I'm sure there are many who do and just as many who don't. Our prisons are full of them. We weren't handed intellect and the love and support of family equally. Unfortunately some get none of the things that make a person stable and successful.

@SilleeMee

Agreed.  He was probably good at what he did on the field.  That's why they kept him around.

I just wish that all of the evil people in the world who want to kill or have killed would just turn the gun on themselves.  They would save taxpayers millions of dollars and save many lives.

@wakefield64

I initially thought the same thing, but he was in a single cell and reports say that he had stuck 'stuff' in the cell door lock from the inside, so guards could not get in his cell.

But you know how 'news' goes, things could change once an autopsy is done, as you said.

In this article, it states that,

"Hernandez tried to block the cell door from the inside by jamming the door with various items"

Key words there are "FROM THE INSIDE".

Be kinda difficult to do that from the outside without arousing suspicion as you're doing it.

One other thing......this is one of the biggest reasons I don't watch professional sports.  Between the men that have beat their wives, got involved in drugs, illegal dog fighting - the list is endless - I wouldn't spend one dime of my money to buy their gear or tickets to games.  Or watch them on TV.

If our teachers could make half of their salaries, our education system would be in awesome shape.  And so would our kids.

Stepping off my soap box now.....
