We are in midst of multi county power outage (sounds like major equipment). I'm in mtns and it's 92 but I really feel for Phoenix (guessing it's around 115).

@patbz  ooh i feel for you.  we here in L A area have been steaming in the 100 area for several days and i just pray the electricity stays on. we have had brown-outs.

of course you know to stay hydrated and do as little as possible.  

i always keep a few of my mother's "Southern lady'  paper fans handy for this sort of thing.  and immediately attack the ice cream (wouldn't want it to go to waste, ha ha!)

i hope it is short-lived.

That's awful. People  can die in heat like that. I hope the power comes back on.

We heard here in Albuquerque that there were power outages.  If they don't get it back on, there will undoubtedly be deaths.

@patbz  are there community centers or gov't buildings that are on generators available fo help out, i hope?

I am in Maricopa county just NE of Phoenix. 

It is 108 where I am. I do have power.
