Oh, yeah, @shoekitty , the co-op fees in New York have to be astronomical.  Those who can afford real estate there are so lucky.

 

A walk-up sunroom in an old Victorian-- that must have been such a lark!

 

The Homeworthy online site has a youtube video called "Beautifully Restored Brownstones With Personality".  It has one guy who owns a brownstone, but currently lives in the parlor floor only-- living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath.  He's an designer who's taking his time with restoring the building.

 

The other brownstone is more conventional, but also has been reconfigured somewhat to suit the professional owner-restorers.  So much fun to see these carefully preserved 19th century interiors living for today....
