I apologize for thinking you would schedule My Pillow all day today. How stupid of me!

No, you were able to sneak in at least 2 more IT shows after they were on yesterday...was it once or twice? The presentations are always the same products and of course, we can't go a day without Susan Graver.

So happy it's supposed to be a gorgeous 80 degree day here in NC. The TV will be off, I'll be outside.

No worries, you just keep  programming the same as usual. Then we can make plans to be with friends, garden, read, take a walk........anything but watch QVC.

@Shanus - I don't watch anymore and get so much more done in my life during the day.  I record my regular weekday programs and if it's cold out I watch them on the weekend instead - saving lots of money and am so much happier.  I also don't watch the news anymore and that makes me much, much happier, and discontinued my newspaper.  We need to take care of our mental health too.Yesterday walked dogs two one-hour walks and worked in the yard since it was really nice out - so much healthier than sitting in front of a TV - have fun today!

What is this post all about?

My Pillow has seen some trouble the past few months...I'm surprised that QVC still sells it!

Why does QVC still sell Wen?? Because it still sells.  Every company has some problem or another.

Re: APOLOGIES TO PROGRAMMERS

@I am still oxox. Perhaps my concern is that after viewing & purchasing from the Q for 25 yrs., I don't want to see it go "under". Many of us have suggestions about programming options, not all day shows of gold, beauty, or anything else.....Bring in new & exciting vendors and products and vary the programming.

While BR, Sears, J Crew and other B&M stores have fallen away for lack of business brought on by not meeting customer demands, I'd be disappointed to see the Q meet the same fate. Sure I can change the channel. That helps me, but doesn't help the Q out of the hole it has dug for itself. I am hoping that eventually someone upstairs will take enough control to turn things around before it's too late.

@fthunt.   You think the Q sells time slots like a TV network sells time for an infomercial spot?

@hoosieroriginal.  That's what I've been doing as well. Thanks for suggestion about newspaper. Don't need it to pad holiday gifts for mailing anymore.

Re: APOLOGIES TO PROGRAMMERS

It seems customary for Q to continue to show a recent TSV for days after it has launched, or if they have had an 'event' of some kind (cooking, beauty, etc.) they bring back the big items of that day for the next week or so.

I think there are several reasons.

First they have a lot left, the vendor is there, the sets are created. Use all that to move more of the product.

Not everyone saw the items when the event or TSV was aired, and they are banking on those with palm to forehead saying "I can't believe I missed......." and selling to them in the days afterward (and at a higher price!).

I have noticed that during an event now (at least with Christmas events and cooking events) they aren't giving the entire event time (day, weekend, or multi hour block) solely to the topic at hand. This past year, Christmas event weekends had many hours of Dyson or some other totally unrelated things mixed in. They do this much less with fashion/beauty, but it does happen some.

I think they are mixing up the programming slightly more as there have been so many complaints about extensive blocks of event programming.

Now, if they just bring in more new and more variety, and stop showing the same few products over and over, they might just start to get it right!

People assume that Q is showing what sells. I'm beginning to think they are simply selling some of their air time to companies like Dyson and are getting a big payoff, regardless of how much product sells.

Re: APOLOGIES TO PROGRAMMERS

I would believe they're selling their airtime to feature certain products.  It's starting to make sense now.

I am not interested in mattresses, Dysons, My Pillow - things like that.  I don't watch on the weekends usually.

`Not meaning to be critical, but you must have forgotten to include LOGO NOGO and all those wonderful mattresses, computers and TempTations.  DH made the mistake some months ago of buying two king size My Pillows. He tried them, as I did, then we gave them to a daughter, who gave them to her daughter, who gave them to The Salvation Army.  Hopefully they gave them to someone who was desperate for a pillow of any kind. Sleeping on lumps of questionably soft foam wasn't for any of us.  'Nuff said.
