This was an interesting article on how GAP has surged ahead and what is happening in the marketplace.

Good news for the employees.  But the future of brick&mortar stores is still pretty dismal.  Nothing can turn that around.

GAP deeply discounted over the holiday season which might account for a bumb in sales.

Everything changes and the mall era is ending.  Life is moving at a much faster pace and most do not have the time to leasurely stroll the malls anymore when it is so easy to find anything online in less time.  I never liked nor did I very often try on clothing in stores.  I know I haven't been to a mall in a couple of years and it was only to go to AAA.  I prefer to use my time doing other things.  Surprisringly I  rarely have to return anything I order but I did often return things to B  M stores.  I also find I spend less money not seeing things that I purchased on a whim.
