Re: ANOTHER STORE CLOSING IN MY AREA

@ gardenman
Well stated. A person only needs so much furniture, especially if one has purchased quality. I appreciate help I get at places like Lazy Boy as well as choices to try.
With regard to closings, our store says it’s temporary for renovation. Guess we will eventually find out. When our Steak n Shake signs advertised renovation, etc they never opened up.

Re: ANOTHER STORE CLOSING IN MY AREA

So many stores have closed here. The resale stores here are the only ones that seem to be thriving, and they are everywhere.

And things do not have the quality they use to. The JC Penneys here doesn't sell real leather handbags or shoes like they use to. They are cheap. We all don't want cheap.

Re: ANOTHER STORE CLOSING IN MY AREA

Saw a "closing" sign for our Lazy Boy last week and I was surprised. However, when I looked closer, it also says in small print "for renovations" - which this location definitely needs.

@beach-mom

We bought our double recliner sofa from Raymour and Flannigan, the price was about 500 more at Lazy Boy and the service from Raymour and Flanigan was great

I think eventually shoppers will want some stores back. I believe the cuts in personnel, the condition of the stores, and the overflow of merchandise contributed to this, although it may not have been the main reason.
