@Marsha2003 : I have been a prime member for years. I don't always find a deal on what I need yet my friends were always spending  on so many deals.

I'm a prime member plus we have the whole Foods/Amazon visa w/chase. 5% off purchases of both on top of prime member sales prices. Never got a dud from Amazon, got what I ordered. I sell a little on eBay and got scammed this summer from a buyer. Turned me off BIG time. eBay/ Amazon...no comparison. Apples... rotten oranges.

I buy something from Amazon a couple of times a week.  I've been a Prime member since Prime first started.  I've been with Amazon since they only sold books.  I can't see answer your question because I don't understand what you are asking.  Not making much sense

Sorry if it wasn't clear.  The question was:

Is this to entice you to join their Prime .... or is this just for current Prime members?

I use Amazon most weeks and am too cheap to sign up for Prime.  I only get emails for order acceptance, shipping confirmation and Libby books.  They do message me that someone has signed in.  Period, no others.

Might want to check your search engine and email to get this shut off.  Somehow my flow is cut off and I like it like that.

Re: AMAZON PRIME SALES?

[ Edited ]

I've been looking at AMZ --haven't found much yet but I do 75% of my shopping there. Actually my xmas shopping is done already so don't really need much this time but will still look today.

Yes I am a Prime member along with my DD--we shae an account-- and have been for at least 10 years now--and we both use it enough to reap some bennies--joined way before Prime Day was a thing--I use their Prime streaming as well as prime music ---and yes, all their ads are to entice you to join----you do or you don't--not many ads sent to me, entice me to much if I'm not interested.

Both. I'm not as wowed with Amazon as are some but I am a Prime member and I will order a few things. I have no idea if the savings, such as they are, apply to non-members, but these 'events' (again, such as they are) are pretty clearly intended to attract new members, at least in part. I also have to say I'm not finding Amazon's customer service to be as stellar as it once was. Personally, I believe they've outgrown their capacity to consistently offer top notch service at lower prices.

i don't know what you get, but the emails I received actually didn't clarify that.  I'm sure someone here knows the facts.

Anyone?   TIA!   Woman Happy

It is both. To entice and to reward current Prime members.  Seldom purchase from Ebay.

We have been Prime members for as long as I can remember. Such a great membership.  We purchase from Amazon frequently.  We also use the Amazon CC that gives us points for purchases.  Just finished Christmas shopping for the family and some household items.  We save the points all year. Close to $800 in merchandise paid with points.  Can't beat that. Prime membership...totally worth it.

We love amazon, buy alot from them. We occasionally use ebay, but got really turned off when we got a death threat for wanting to return some goji berries that were opened. We didn't care for that.Woman Frustrated

I started buying for low prices mostly and delivery.  With them since the beginning like others, for the books!  Then the prices.  Now because it comes to my house, I get a good description when I buy, and if I am unhappy returns are a breeze.

We can find parts and electronics without shuffling around stores and wondering what we are seeing.  We get the size and  type we want--don't have to take second choice usually.

I do NOT buy from Amazon any more for anything electric, or used because you have no idea who you are buying from or what you will get.  And most often you are stuck with it.
