My volume is not louder on the Q, however, it is with commercials.  I noticed that some channels the volume is way, way down and not sure what that is all about.  Cat Very Happy

For you who were "kind" enough to post, we have Charter cable.  We are heading south in a week or so where we have Comcast.  I will check it out to see if the same problem exists down there.

I have two volume controls.  One on my remote and one on the TV itself.  When I can't get enough volume using my remote, I go to the TV and turn up the volume even more.  Just a thought.

Yes, I've noticed the Q channels are slightly louder. I have other channels that are more quiet, too. Fox seems lower. I have Dish.
