Re: ALDI Pleasant Customer Attitude and Consideration of Others

I do the majority of my shopping at Aldi. I haven't noticed the attitude of the employees or customers being any different than any other store.  (Although I did get a pretty crabby employee at Wegmans Saturday!)

My problem with the carts is that after I unlock one, so many times I can't get it separated from the one in front of it. I'm yanking and yanking and then have to get my quarter back and try another row of carts.  This can happen multiple times. I have  had to stand there with my quarter in my hand waiting for someone to come return theirs and get it from them before they lock it up.

Re: ALDI Pleasant Customer Attitude and Consideration of Others

There are pleasant and there are less than pleasant employees everywhere. I think it often is a reflection of management of each store.

I never found getting or returning a cart to be difficult. It's very intuitive. But if unsure how it operates there are YouTube videos to view. I wish more stores did the same.

Like most I have dedicated quarters. One in my car, one in a zippered section of my purse. I have heard that if someone does not have the quarter to deposit, Aldi will provide one. I only use a cart when I'm planning to buy beverages.

And for me, self service if the best thing in the store. I usually only buy a handful of items and with self scanners I can be in and out in 10 minutes at most.

Re: ALDI Pleasant Customer Attitude and Consideration of Others

I'm fortunate to live where everyone is polite, carts are left with quarters, people let those with just a few items check out ahead of them. Cars stop to allow for those waiting to cross.

If someone is rude they don't live here.
