A long weekend

I'm looking forward to this long weekend. My school district use to have school on MLK day. We would have programs remembering Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now we just have the Monday off. While I like the day off, I wonder if we are doing our children a disservice. Do you as a family do anything in remembrance of this remarkable man? Just throwing that question out there.
