I love sleeping when it rains. As long as the storm stays civil, I love it! It's cooling off a hot, humid day! Rain is just one of those wonderful things I love.

I'm jealous. I love sleeping when it rains and we've had so little of it here in Illinois. The garden seems so dry. I was out back watering our garden earlier this evening and thought how nice it would be if it rained tonight...

Just wanted to add that as soon as I posted my reply it started to thunder, now the lights are flickering! YAY!!!

I'm in WI. A couple hours ago we had pouring rain for almost an hour. The lawn drank it up.

I love the cold, but when my son lived in Las Vegas we visited him all the time. I think I could love desert living. As long as I had air conditioning. I would just miss rain and everything green. Farm land is beautiful.

Next weekend I have tickets for breakfast on the farm! A huge dairy puts on a free breakfast once a year. You just have to have tickets so they know how many to expect. They have farm animals out for the little kids. They end the breakfast with homemade ice cream.

There are white noise and nature sound websites, plus static videos on YouTube.

CD's and sound machines as well.

Even real kittycat purring loops, which is also soothing for sleep or chillaxin' purposes.

I hope that Mother Nature gets a healthy soaking in your area, especially for wildlife to drink or cool off in.

Oh, that will be grand!

Here's wishing it will bring you everything you want and not more than you can handle.

I miss those big storms we used to have once upon a time in California. Fingers crossed that El Nino pans out to bring needed rainfall to the west coast.

I also noticed that once I got double-paned windows, I could no longer hear rain falling at night. Sometimes I rely on a rain sounds (or rain and ocean) CD as a substitute.
