Twenty-eight yrs. ago 2 friends made a pact that if either won the lottery they would split it. They shook on it.

 

One of them recently won 22 million in a Wisconsin (I believe) lottery.  He called his old fishing buddy and they split it.

 

They took the cash option and ended up with 5 million each.

 

I read the story on CNN.  It's nice to read this thype of story anytime but especially now since everything in the news is a horror  show.

If you take a cash payout it's less than if you take it as an annuity.

Hi @CrazyKittyLvr2 !  Thanks for posting this story !  Gives me hope, LOL!

 

i live in Nevada (no lottery, only casinos) and my sister lives in Texas.  I send her a few bucks and when the lotto jackpot is high enough (our agreed minimum), she buys a ticket and, if it hits, we've agreed to split.  She sends me a photo of the ticket and the balance I have remaining on my investment.  Just waiting for the right numbers!🤨
