The dog needed a walk at 5AM.
It's about 12 degrees out, a fresh 4 inches of snow and still coming down (but gently).
Our feet crunched under the snow and the street lights made everything glisten.
Then I had to shovel...
I'm REALLY trying to see the beauty of the season!

My guess is you probably shoveled ""the beauty of the season"" out a couple of snow storms ago.

I'm trying REALLY HARD to get that Winter Wonderland feeling back again, since it's going to be hovering in the single digits and snowing for the next week!

Maybe if you think about how much you will miss it when it gets so very hot this summer? Wouldn't work for me, but it might for you.

As I shovel I have been thinking about my trip to Red Sox training camp at the end of the month and Captiva Island shelling!

Well, at least you have happy thoughts to get you pumped up to shovel.

I just wonder when this nasty weather is going to end !!!

Good effort, terrier. It's 5 degrees on the Missouri/Kansas border - lowest March weather on record. I'm hearing sleet on the roof. Well, at least we'll have beautiful spring flowers because of the moisture in the soil. How did I do? Thanks for helping us look on the positive side today.

The "season" in NJ started in October 2013. It is now March 2014, and no end in sight. We have also been warned by our local meteorologists that it will be the hottest summer on record.
We no longer have four seasons in the Northeast, looks like we only have two now, with unbearable weather in each.

Count me in to LOVING LOVING LOVING all this snow the NE is getting! I don't care if we get another 5 feet! Seriously! It's my FAVORITE time of the year...looks gorgeous and I even don't mind shoveling..I consider it free exercise! And YES I do all the shoveling on a LONG driveway plus out to the mailbox plus from the front door to the driveway. I LOVE WINTER!!!!
I would take snow ANY DAY compared to the 90-100 degree heat! Now THAT I will be kvetching about!! And just wait until it gets that hot! People will be complaining about that too and wishing it was winter! I guess as long as people have something to complain about year round...
We're in the path for the storm today/tomorrow...bring it on!
