This urban crow (top left) with little access to sticks, has amassed a fine substitute of plastic hangers.  Wonder what he's going to do with them?  Maybe start a new clothing line at QVC?  Any ideas?

Where in the heck did this crow find them??  lol. He's a crow obsessed. I have 4 crows I feed eggs to everyday one leaves me little gifts now and them.  When I put eggs down, and as I am leaving that crow thanks me with this unique sound. I love them.

I am wondering where he got so many, unless he is stealing them from yards......or clotheslines, lol

Often times, crows collect large pieces of plastic to help them build a nest.  It's possible this crow is doing his/her best to get a decent job done but it doesn't seem to be working.

Poor thing.

@Kachina624 I think this is fascinating! After looking at it, I have so many questions! I hope you can help us all out here and follow this story lol. I would love to know where he/she is getting all those hangers as they look very similar to one another! Then I do see two possible nesting spaces... one on the bottom section and then the top. That middle section is filled with hangers so that's a no-go for a nest. I wonder how long it took to fill this! Great topic I'm hoping we get answers to haha. I know crows are extremely smart but I'm wondering if this particular crow isn't quite at the top of his classSmiley Wink

@shoekitty I also find this fascinating! What gifts does it leave you?

I mean the fact it has a unique sound, you know it is talking to you! Must be fun watching them.

We enjoy watching the various squirrels and birds as they take turns at the feeder. Leave it to a civilized bird/squirrel combo to figure out when they all take turns, they all get fed!Heart

@OneHappyHiker  The unique sound he makes is what my husband and I call his, bok bok.  lol sounds like a chicken.  lol. He was born in back of me, and down a home, they have 6 chickens. Which in our area is legal.  I think as a baby crow he heard the chickens. lol. When he talks to me, or wants something, or thanks me it's a Bok bok.  He leaves bits n pieces.  Not often but we have gotten a green piece of glass, a piece of ciggarettes foil,  one of those pop top things off a can of soda, and a peso, and a Bobby pin. It was a pink Bobby pin.

when I put the eggs out there is a neighbor cat that comes to steal the eggs once in a while and he has a fit. He warns the cat with this loud rattle in his throat, he will caw but mainly rattle.   If he is really mad, he will swoop him, and the cat scrams
