Re: A TOASTER THAT LOOKS LIKE ARCHITECTURE

I have my Grandmother's toaster.  It opens at both ends.  I remember when I was little and I thought it was the coolest thing that a toaster flips open on both sides.

Re: A TOASTER THAT LOOKS LIKE ARCHITECTURE

@vermint , @madzonie , @just bee ,  you all have very sleek, "high-design" toasters!  Thanks so much for letting us get a look at them.

@vermint ,  I'd opt for a midcentury house too, esp. if I were starting all over. Your house does sound like it would lend itself beautifully to the style-- you could do a bit more mid-mod collecting, should you so desire, and everything would look right at home!

@ScrapHappy ,  I also love those opening-on-two-sides toasters.  What a testament to the makers, that your heirloom is still beautifully functioning, as it was meant to...

@just bee ,  great images from "The Fountainhead",  thanks for digging up!  Makes me want to see it again, just for the art direction....

Re: A TOASTER THAT LOOKS LIKE ARCHITECTURE

@just bee and @Oznell  , just realized that the same actress, Patricia Neal, is in both movies - "The Fountainhead" and "The Day The Earth Stood Still".
