A Special Afternoon

I had the wonderful experience today of attending a winter/holiday performance by children in the kindergarten classes at our elementary school.

Seeing the joy and innocence in their faces as they sang and waved to people in the audience was heartwarming.

After they finished singing "This Little Light Of Mine," there was not a dry eye among the teachers, parents and visitors. We were all moved.

After all the ugly stuff, it was so bright and hopeful.

"My desire to be well informed is currently at odds with my desire to remain sane."
