Re: A Sad Day in our Neighborhood

Thank you all for your kind comments.  I am having such a difficult time with this.  When I hear of neighbors who do not get along, I always feel so lucky that we do.

I have suggested maybe planting a tree with a plaque dedicated to him in one of our open areas if his family agrees.  Neighbors are very open to this, so I hope that we can do so.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Re: A Sad Day in our Neighborhood

I hope I live my life as thoughtfully and joyfully as your neighbor. I know when my mom passed, her whole street of neighbors came to the service because she was their anchor on the block. Such heartfelt stories shared here. Thank you.

People become part of the fabric of our lives, their loss leaves a hole we try to eventually bridge.  I understand, it does hurt.

Hope you are soon able to celebrate his life, and be grateful for knowing him.  Maybe the neighborhood can get together and do something in his honor.

Peace to you and his family.

Beautiful post @Drythe. I'm sorry for your loss @SXMGirl.💓
