I am posting this to honor the memory of a departed member of this chat board and the tradition she taught us. Bairn, my Scottish kindred spirit, we raise our pots and pans to clang together at the stroke of midnight ringing in the New Year. Those of you who remember her, let's keep the tradition alive. For those of you who are new to the practice, I invite you to join in wherever you are.  May you rest in peace, my dear, wonderful friend.

I raise my Calphalon nonstick stockpot and serving spoon in a salute to our dearly-departed Bairn.  What a fair lassie!

I recall the poster and her invite to cling, clang, and crash, our pots and pans.  Thanks for the reminder and I'll be up to make my noise.

That's so sweet, @RainCityWoman.  I wish I'd seen it on the eve and I'd have joined in.  I never had the pleasure of posting with Bairn, but the posts about her have been so inspiring so I know I missed a real gem.
