I think I will call them today as well.
Maybe I'll change parties!
First check the return address on the mailer...and make sure it is actually party headquarters.
It may well be an empty home that is up for sale...or a fake address.
That has been happening in other areas.
It is. It's a midtown Manhattan address. I'm north of NYC.
Board of elections in NY are controlled by counties. Same with party groups.
I think this is one of the mailers from national organizations...your wording is identical to a national organization (who by law CANNOT coordinate with candidates).

We always, always vote. It gives us the right to complain.

That doesn't bother me near as much as the multiple emails I have been getting from various big names in politics saying they are disappointed in me as UNLESS they have made a mistake they don't see my DONATION!!!!
Now THAT makes me mad!!!!
At this point in time . . . not ONE DIME!!!
I do believe I am almost ready for a REAL 3rd Party. Although now it is considered a throw away vote . . . but we need something to SHAKE THINGS UP!!!! In MY Opinion.

Sounds like a veiled threat. Do something about it.

We are supposed to be getting a couple of ""big names"" up here to campaign for a candidate. Just proves to me he still doesn't know Alaska. Hasn't changed my mind who I'm voting for.
‎10-30-2014 10:36 AM
I think it is better to vote but people forget in this country we also have the right not to vote. I agree with calling your party to complain.
‎10-30-2014 10:58 AM
Yes, I would be. It's your business and your business alone for whom you vote AND whether you vote... Ridiculous...
‎10-30-2014 12:06 PM
I'd be seriously ticked off.
Where has common sense gone? If they are concerned about someone not voting and want to get them out to vote this year they don't do it by trying to embarrass them or question their choices, you do it by showing concern and inquiring if they can do anything to help out!
Imagine the difference in reaction if the letter said
We noted you didn't get out to vote last year and are concerned that your voice was not heard. We are here for you if you need any assistance getting to your polling place, just give us a call....
‎10-30-2014 12:12 PM
I'll only be concerned if and when they start telling me that I'd better vote for their candidate.
Wanting to know if I voted is one thing. Wanting to know WHO I voted for is quite another.

People complain anyway.
I don't think there's a law that doesn't allow you to complain if you don't vote.
(But I like your reasoning
