A LOVING THOUGHT WENT DOWN HILL

The following story was in the Reader's Digest...

 

You can assume a lot about your neighbors based on the signs they choose to display in their yards, such as:  Beware of Dog or Garage Sale, Real Estate Signs, etc..

 

This poor husband was just trying to do something nice for  his wife but as they say, no good deed goes unpunished.  He ended up putting the note on the wrong car and later posted this sign to warn the neighbors...

 

                        OHIO NEIGHBORS

 

                   I put a cute love note on what

                    I thought was my wife's car.

               

                  We figured out today that in my

                   tired state, I had put the note 

                             on the wrong car.

 

                   If this car happened to be yours

                     I apologize for the confusion

 

                    I am not in love with you. (sorry)

@Lindsays Grandma  That poor dear! His heart was in the right place. How wonderful it is that he wanted to do something so sweet. Her heart must have melted with love  when he revealed his well intended mistake.😁
