Re: A First For Me From Amazon

We don’t get the pictures all the time, but we get them often enough that they aren’t a surprise anymore. We really appreciate it during the busy holiday season.

I have never received a picture of a delivery but I have received e-mails.  I wonder if they are starting this in areas where "package pirates" are a problem?

@DiAnne   Maybe...maybe not.  NOTHING ever happens in my neighborhood!  If you saw the local police report it's pretty boring...yet Amazon delivers to us several times a week and they always send us a photo of the item delivered by the front door.

You only get a photo when Amazon themselves deliver your package. They delivered something I had sent to my son last week. The notice I got was it was delivered and handed it to customer on porch. Umm no. My son wasn't even home when they left it on his porch.

i get a lot of packages delivered directly by amazon.....people in regular cars or light trucks......some wearing an orange safety vest.

i have not received a photo of my package being delivered as of yet.

i HAVE had a notation of delivery that it was "delivered and handed to customer" when it was actually just left at the front door.

@shaggygirl

They did that with several of mine and it had a question for me to answer if I liked this method. On the last one I said I liked it but my package is not at my house. LOL.They retrieved the package and delivered it to me later in the day.

Re: A First For Me From Amazon

I'm not tied to my phone so it wouldn't mean a thing to me if I get an email with a picture of it sitting in front of my door.

Just because you get a picture, if you're not home to bring it in, no saying it still can't be stolen.

Re: A First For Me From Amazon

I had a gift sent to me for Christmas from my sister. It never arrived. Was told Amazon was going to send it again. Still nothing. Finally found out it was delivered to a vacant lot two doors down on our street. It was just sitting there by itself....two of them. Ridiculous,

@GCR18 @shaggygirl

One of the reasons I love Amazon.  I also get a text message showing where my package is i.e., Your package is 9 stops away.   I leave a box of treats out for the delivery people over Christmas holidays.  When I get the pictures of my delivery, they always show a thumbs up.  I think it's so cute.  I love Amazon.

Re: A First For Me From Amazon

I don't have it but seems my DD does, she will text/ skpe me saying Mom look out front you have a package see the picture of my front door with a package there. She needs to worry about her own front door. I just go in email & it says delivered. I do have some delivered without a picture.
