I think people (and they land on juries) now have the expectation of EVERYTHING being explained to them. They expect the neat, tidy, all tied up solution of a crime show. They expect DNA evidence in every case, and other forensics that may be provable.

When a few things are left dangling, which is inevitable unless your criminal confesses, they call it "reasonable" doubt.

I think we may see more of the Casey Anthony type verdicts as time goes on.
