Yes, very hot in MD even at the beach...it's currently 90, heat index 108, ocean temp 80.
I left work around 4:30 and we headed down to the beach. Just got here and got my chair and umbrella ready. It's about 5:30 and I'm ready for a swim and a few hours in the chair.
Enjoy your sun filled weekend with the grands!!😎

@newjersey I'm with you. I've never been comfortable with thunder. It still scares me.

it cooled off from high nineties to 82 degrees this evening due to thunderstorms. Will be back to 97, 98 again tomorrow.
Tampa Bay area. We are havIng a typical summer- high heat and humidity with the possibility of storms every afternoon. Fun fact- we are in the lightning capital of the country or some such statistic. Weather experts and authorities aren't kidding when they tell you to get indoors the minute you hear thunder. It's a big deal. People get struck all kinds of random places even before the actual storm hits.

Midwest. Temps are in the 90s with a heat index 110-114. We've had record rain this year so the humidity has been off the charts.

@retiredatlast I live in Ventura County, CA - we have had the coolest July in history. 75 beautiful degrees. We rarely ever have high humidity. Cloud cover in the Am with sun coming out around 11am. I know the heat is coming. Although our heat is nothing compared to inland areas. CA is so huge there are so many different climates. I grew up in NE PA no air conditioning. Summers were always hot and humid. Many sleepless nights
my sister lives in central NJ . She said her AC has been on every day. She's moving to Florida to be closer to her kids so I guess she'll be running her AC every day there too, or most days. She loves Fall and winter, so I guess she won't be seeing much of that when she moves

Here in eastern Nebraska, starting today through Tuesday evening we'll have very hot conditions...mid-high 90's. Then the following 5 days the temps will be in the mid 70's!
That kind of temp swing is expected here in September, not at the end of July!
