If you didn't have to drive a freeway-maybe. Could be good for a college student that just needs a car to get to the grocery store (or other local place) and back.

But in an accident, no matter what safety features the car has, it's going to be squished.

Yes, I would drive this in Australia where the cars (and even trucks) are relatively small compared to here. The cars there seem so tiny compared to ours. You don't see huge SUV's or sedans like you do here. Of course there gas is a lot more expensive compared to ours.

It just isn't practical in my eyes. I wouldn't feel safe on a highway in it so it wouldn't be good for commuting for me. Perhaps if I lived and worked in a downtown area, but then I am likely to be on public transportation. If I lived in one of those self-contained neighborhoods, it might be good, but what would be the point since the car likely would be nearly as efficient so I wouldn't want to spend the money on this. It's no good for someone with friends and family, it really is only for commuting or picking up groceries, you couldn't use it for picking up the kids at school even.

It is a highly specialized car - the smart cars are all over Europe, but I don't think this car would sell well there. At least a smart car can hold one other person as well as the groceries and it has a smaller base which is good for parking

So I guess it is not for me, but congrats to the inventor for coming up with something that will work for some people, but it is going to be a special person who buys this "car" as long as there are still SUV's, trucks and even my four-door sedan still on the road, then there are the 18-wheelers, though maybe you could slip under one of those Smile

Thanks for posting, straykatz. At least I'll know what I'm looking at if I see one!
